2011 Best Cinematography Winner

The Tree of Life

6-4-2011TreeofLife

People have debated and debated about what The Tree of Life means and how well it works, but almost everyone seems to agree that it looks amazing.  Almost every shot of this movie feels like it could be paused, printed out, framed, and put in a museum as a fine art photograph.  It’s almost like the crew behind one of those beautiful IMAX nature documentaries like “Planet Earth” took their skills and used them to make a feature length poetic work rather than a glossy documentary.
